I, Fiona Laurila at Fiona Alice Designs, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy is designed to explain how I collect, use, share, and protect the personal information you provide to me when you access my website, purchase goods or services.
Under GDPR regulations, I have identified how I handle your personal data under both a contractual basis or a consensual basis as of May 2018. If you make a purchase, or contact Fiona through www.fionaalice.com, with an inquiry, I will use your data to fulfil the contract of delivering your purchase or responding to your data. I uses a variety of third party processors to help us with that, such as Squarespace, Ravelry and Paypal. Additionally, Fiona Alice Designs will never sell your information.

What information does Fiona Alice Designs collect?
My website is hosted on Squarespace. Your data is stored through Squarespace’s data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. When making a purchase, certain information is required ignored to fulfil the contract with the buyer. The information is the buyer’s name, address, email address and phone number.
When browsing the site, I automatically receive your IP address in order to communicate with your browser. This also gives us some geographical information. Additionally, your browser sends some information about your OS and browser which allows the Fiona Alice Design’s website to be displayed correctly on your system.
Why does Fiona Alice Designs need a physical address for a digital purchases?
Even though you are purchasing a digital pattern, you will be asked to provide an address during the check out process. This is because different countries require sellers to pay different taxes on digital sales based on the customer’s location. Regardless of your personal location, Fiona Alice Designs need to retain evidence of customers' countries of origin for legal and accounting purposes.
Will Fiona Alice Designs email you?
Fiona Alice will only contact you via email if there is a problem with an online order, or to rasped back to your initial question or request through the contact form. You may also be contacted if a pattern error is noticed or is a pattern is updated to include new information. These notifications are usually sent through Ravelry with a message and email. You will never be contacted about promotions without your consent.
How can I update or delete my details?
If you created an account on www.fionaalice.com to purchase an item, you will be able to login at any time and update your personal information. If you would like your data to be deleted please get contact, I will then delete your data that we have access to.
Squarespace
Fiona Alice Design’s website and online store is hosted by Squarespace. They provide me with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell my products and services to you. Your data is stored through Squarespace’s data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. Squarespace’s Privacy policy can be viewed here.
Payment
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Squarespace transfers your data to Stripe who stores your payment data. For more insight, you may also want to read Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Statement here.
I also use Paypal to process online payments from Squarespace and Ravelry. I do not have access to personal banking information and or credit cards numbers. Paypal’s Privacy Policy can be viewed here.
Ravelry
When purchasing a digital pattern from the database, Ravelry.com, Fiona Alice receives a copy of your purchase receipt from Ravelry via email, and information about your transaction in PayPal. This information is only used for accounting purposes. You will not be contacted unless there is a pattern update. Ravelry’s system automatically sends an email notification and Ravelry message informing you of this update. Ravelry’s Privacy Policy can be viewed here.
LoveCrafts
When purchasing a digital pattern from the database, LoveCrafts.com, Fiona Alice dose not receive personal or payment information from the buyer. LoveCrafts handles this internally. LoveCrafts’ Privacy Policy can be viewed here.
Newsletter
As of right now, Fiona Alice does not have a newsletter to subscribe to. In the future, when this is an option, you will never be added to the newsletter without your explicit consent. Subscribers will have to opt-in to receiving newsletter by proving their name and email address.

When clicking on links that are featured on the Fiona Alice Designs’ website or blog, they may direct you away from this site. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements as well.
