KAALI
KAALI
The Kaali fingerless mitts were origially published in Pom Pom Quartlery’s Natural Dye Issue 18, August 2016. Each mitt starts with a delicate picot edging and transitions into different stitch textures, giving a layered look to the cuffs. Before the mitt moves into the main section of a simple knit and purl texture, three different embroidery threads are used to create a gradient colour effect. These threads are worked into the pattern every few rounds.
“These delicate yet cosy fingerless mittens capture the incredible colours produced by the array of seasonal plants that bloom and are harvested during the summer months . Choose to add contrasting and vibrant pops of colour with the threads, or keep it subtle and elegant - either way, you’ll have one of the warmest, softest, prettiest ways of keeping your hands warm this season.” - Pom Pom Quarterly
