CONSTRUCTION
This raglan sweater is started under the neckband and worked from the top down while increasing for the body and sleeves. The majority of the body is worked in Stockinette Stitch, except for four vertical lines, two on the front and two on the back, that follow the shape of the raglan increase. These lines are knitted with two strands of yarn held together (for the sample, two strands of Woolfolk Tov were used). These knit stitches are slipped every second round. In the sample, the smooth Tov yarn sits on top of the highly textured Flette Bulky, a bulky weight bouclé yarn. When choosing yarns for your own sample you may want to consider also working with two different textures or picking a contrasting colour for yarn B is always an option too. Once the body and sleeves are divided, the body is worked until the beginning of side slits are reached. The hems are worked in yarn B. The sleeves are then picked up and worked in the round. The cuffs are worked in yarn B and then folded over and stitched down to the WS. The same is done for the neckband.
